Adult Speech Therapy

We evaluate and treat a variety of acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders in adults including: Aphasia and/or Cognitive Deficits, Dysarthria, Apraxia, Dysphagia, and Voice Disorders. Adults may experience these speech and language difficulties for a variety of reasons, including head and neck cancer, vocal abusive behaviors, and/or numerous neurological disorders. Several more common neurological disorders include:
• Stroke
• Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
• Parkinson’s Disease
• Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
• Alzheimer’s Disease
• Dementia
• Accent Modification
Intervention focuses on increasing oral and written receptive and expressive language skills, as well as increasing language processing abilities using a variety of strategies.
